Read MoreIf you’re from Denver or even lived here a short while, you are probably familiar with LoDo. The bustling district known as LoDo is where people go to party; a central hub for bars, music, and food. Right on the corner of 19th and Blake, a brand new concept is opening its doors to the public this Saturday, just in time for St. Patrick's Day festivities. Read MoreI really enjoyed Audioculture’s "Bass Battle" at The Black Box in Denver last Thursday. The only bad part of the night happened before I even walked through the doors, as the parking was built for Denver in the early 1900’s. I guess “more buildings" not "more parking lots” was the motto back then. When I first got there, I knew this was going to be one hell of a show because as I got close to the door I felt the energy reverberate through my body…

The night opened up with a b2b set with I Cite and Kid Konsume, the winners of AudioCulture’s recent Bass Battle that took place on October 17th, followed by David Warren…
Read MoreThe Thanksgiving Eve edition of Re:Search Wednesday brought some heavy hitters -EOTO as the headliner with Borahm Lee (of Break Science / Pretty Lights Live) and Nicholas S. Gerlach on support. EOTO is an electronic duo consisting of Michael Travis and Jason Hann, formed in 2006 as a side project of The String Cheese Incident. Originally standing for “End of Time Observatory,” the project name is now pronounced Ee-Oh-Toe after some fans informed the duo that it meant “good sound” in Japanese. With a 100% improvised approach, EOTO has created a unique niche in the electronic community due to its jam-band roots.
Read MoreThis Re:Search Wednesday continued a long streak of impressive shows and what we see as the series’ greatest strength: making space for the endless variety of electronic music being explored these days. The lineup this past week included MOUR, a project by Random Rab that explored his darker side, the uplifting sounds of VOLO, and Plantrae as the headliner, who graced us with his earthy harmonies.
