Re:Visit - Plantrae w/MOUR (Random Rab) at Cervantes Other Side

This Re:Search Wednesday continued a long streak of impressive shows and what we see as the series’ greatest strength: making space for the endless variety of electronic music being explored these days. The lineup this past week included MOUR, a project by Random Rab that explored his darker side, the uplifting sounds of VOLO, and Plantrae as the headliner, who graced us with his earthy harmonies.

Re:Visit - The Geek x Vrv, Poldoore, w/ Chris Karns, JusChill and More!

As lovers of live music, we are always on the quest for shows that makes us move and shake, the shows that take us away from our current realities, the shows that make us wish the night would never end.  This last RE:Search Wednesdays at Cervantes, was one of those shows. This week was nothing short of magical with electro-soul French trio: The Geek x Vrv.

Re:Visit - Casual Commander w/ Bailo, and Mikey Thunder, Plus Win Tickets For Mimosa!

It’s a beautiful thing when people come together for love of the same thing, something like music for example. This week at the Cervantes weekly installment of Re:Search Wednesday, provided the foundation for one of those moments. The bill was set with basically three completely different styles of music starting with the local favorite, Mikey Thunder, who if somehow you're unaware, is probably the most versatile DJ Denver has ever produced.

Re:Visit - Sfam, Subdocta & the birthday bash, Russ Liquid (DJ set), and AVRY (late set)

September is shaping up to be one of the biggest months for music in Denver, and it started with a bang on the 4th. Cervantes Other Side received its weekly blessing of Jordan Polovina’s soul food for the eardrums, giving the $10 ticket fam something to move to. sfam brought their own saucy offerings from NOLA and hit us with the heat. Michael Pearson and Jacob Hoerner are sfam, and these Mississippi boys are an absolute unit in the studio, having collaborated with the likes of Boogie T, TVBOO, DMVU, Toadface and more in the few short years of their musical career. They gave us all the goodies and we all ate it up. They’re obviously excited to be where they are, naming a lot of artists over the mic whom they’ve been able to work with. We see you, sfam!

Re:Visit – DJ Logic, Animated Earth and Infinite Vibe. Jordan Polovina Interview Included!

It was Wednesday, my dudes, and hump-day felt cozier than ever at The Other Side of Cervantes. Re:Search’s own resident opener Jordan Polovina took the feature spot and stole the show with his new supergroup, Animated Earth. DJ Logic headlined and orchestrated a fine and refined DJ set accompanied by a healthy serving of horns and live drums. Infinite Vibe doubled down on percussion and wrapped it up tight, another one for the books.

RE:Visit - HUCCI, Great Dane, & More Plus Catch Up With AVRY Before Next Week

Some places just resonate familial interactions, where you can go time and time again knowing you will see friendly faces, as well as meet new people. Cervantes’ is that place for Denver locals, a safe space to hang out with like-minded individuals and hear good music on any given night of the week. Whether it’s the Masterpiece Ballroom or The Other Side, you can bet that there will be an artist or group that you would rather not miss. RE:Search Wednesdays are an exceptional night at Cervantes because the lineups always include local household names, as well as more prominent and recognizable artists. Many people that I’ve talked to during RE:Search nights come on a near-weekly basis even if they don’t know the artists because they can hang out, dance, enjoy the silent disco and more than likely leave with new artists to throw on their playlists.

Re:Visit - UltraSloth w/ 5AM & Thought Process

Once again, Re:Search Wednesdays at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom proved to be an oasis of cool in these dog days of summer. This week’s flavor included the tasty trio that is UltraSloth in the headlining slot, while 5 AM had us grooving early and Thought Process closed us out smooth.
