It’s always a treat whenever you get to see a double-headliner show and last Wednesday at Cervantes was nothing but delicious with Modern Measure and Lucid Vision.

The crowd was buzzing when Modern Measure stepped on stage, with their fusion of electronic production with perfectly paired live instrumentation. Kyle Holly and Charlie Thornton of Modern Measure are no newcomers to the scene, having toured the country and released their third album last year, they didn’t hold anything back. They filled out their set with special guests Brisco Jones and Kevin Donahue, showcasing their ability to rock with the best of them. They ended with two unreleased songs that had everyone feeling pumped for what’s to come from the Atlanta duo.

Lucid Vision continued the theme of genre-blending, combining the organic sounds of live guitar and ukulele to his polished production. Know Self came out on stage to rap on a few tracks with Lucid Vision and also performed a couple of his own tunes. Lucid Vision’s last song of the night was a banger remix of Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For”, concluding his set on just the right note.

Gravitrax came on for the late set and changed the whole place upside down with sounds of future bass and dubstep, getting the crowd to move and groove at a different pace from the rest of the night.

Join us tomorrow at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom for Sweater Beats with “Boy Wonder” JackLNDN, who’s been absolutely killing it, and well beyond just Denver. He’s most recently just opened directly for Dirty Bird favorite, Chris Lake at The Fox Theatre in Boulder and this week promises to be a fun switch of pace at Cervantes. Do your Re:Search and don’t miss out on another incredible night of music.
