Showing up to Cervantes last Wednesday, we were all in store for the billed “night of emotional dance music” featuring killer instrumentals all throughout. Jordan Polovina blesses the stage each week as the host of Re:Search Wednesday, but this week he brought out his cello, which is always such a treat. Jordan truly started the dance party, transitioning back and forth so seamlessly that at one point he was creating new beats with his cello bow in his mouth. “This feels so good and we’re just halfway through!” We were all feeling it too. *See photos for proof*.

Jack Aisher, aka JackLNDN, then took the stage with his flawless piano playing, euphoric vocals, and melodic sound, which is largely influenced by jazz and Ibiza club music, and it shows! Jack is a London-native, but lucky for us he now resides in Colorado. Prior to the show, Jack teased on an Instagram post that he was “Bringing something special” and he did not disappoint! Jack played his fan favorites from the recent “Thoughts” LP that just released in August 2019, as well as new unreleased music that the crowd went wild for. Be sure to keep your eye out for upcoming show dates in his now-home state of Colorado to get a glimpse of his new music yourself!

Antonio Cuna, aka Sweater Beats, was up next to headline the show and he truly struck a nostalgic chord with the crowd, starting his set with his remixes of emo hits from the 2000s. This included songs like Blink-182’s “I Miss You,” Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness,” and Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Going Down,” followed by remixes of the current day hits of Billie Elish and Lizzo. Cuna then brought out his guitar and kept the instrumentals of the night flowing endlessly - all leading up to the performance of Sweater Beats’ newest song, “Trouble” (with Nonsense), that was just released on November 15th. Fans are already raving about this track and for good reason! Make sure you give “Trouble” a listen, as well as his other new songs “Take Me to Eterna” (ft. Ruuth) and “Cotton Candy Clouds” (with Valntn and Trevor Dering).

Julian Winkler, aka Movesayer, was last to hit the stage and ended the night with the most tranquil house music - the perfect end to a night of dancing. Julian is a melodic house and techno DJ who joined Melodic Deep out of Amsterdam in 2018 to curate and promote cutting-edge music of his style from around the globe, but Denver is also home for this artist. Give his first EP, Obsolescence, a listen while you gear up for next week's Re:Search Wednesday with the ever-popular, EOTO, Borahm Lee, and Nicholas Gerlach! Get your tickets for November 27, 2019 here.
