Check The Official Michal Menert Recap From 10 Mile Music Hall

Last month we brought you coverage from some pretty incredible shows, but perhaps none more noteworthy than the one and only Michal Menert in Frisco, CO at the spanking new, 10 Mile Music Hall. The night was one to remember for everyone involved. If you were there, you know. If not, check the official recap coverage here!

Brought to you by the teams at both Potent Productions and Angry Neighbor, we knew we were in good hands out of the gate. If you’re not familiar, get used to the names as both of these companies are on the rise and responsible for a plethora of parties and events around Denver and beyond this Summer. Potent Productions was also responsible for the ridiculous stage design, highlighted very well in the recap images/video below. Part-owner of Potent and Production Manager Kyle Macbeth, told us “this is just the start of many more big things to come.” As to what he could be alluding to? Maybe the 5-part concert series they’re hosting at Denver’s Jackson’s Rooftop this Summer. Or maybe their extra large presence at Colorado’s largest music festival, Sonic Bloom 2019. Macbeth even mentioned talk of a Potent Takeover all the way down in New Orleans next year. He refused to share more info than that.

Angry Neighbor, the other presenting body for the evening, isn’t taking any time off this Summer either. In fact, they’re one of two presenting bodies on this year's installation of Compound Sound 2019, the 3-day camping fest set to take place just outside of Laramie, WY on 4th of July weekend. We got a chance to catch up with Owner, Reid Pellegrin, who shared some of the developing details for this year's party on the prairie. With an all-new location, twice the stages and quadruple the expected guest count, we’ve begun to anticipate this festival as one of the top sleeper festivals in The Rocky Mountain Region this Summer. Tix are on sale now and can be found here.

As for the evening itself, it was a night of good friends, good music, and great vibes. Behind the decks was a cast of all Colorado characters all night long. The extremely talented individual known as Jordan Polovina got the night started with his cello front and center. I’d personally been excited to see this name and he absolutely did not disappoint. Be looking for more from him. If you don’t see it, demand it! He’s worth the hype. After Polovina, The Party People took the stage and did exactly what The Party People do best, get everyone hyped the F*** up! The dream-team trio who come together as this mini super-group has never disappointed me, as any Denver local would probably agree who’s seen these guys get a party started.

As many shows are doing these days, there was even a closing act. The stage was primed for Colorado homie(s) #3, MIDIcinal AKA Scott Rhatigan who showed zero hesitation when it came to following up the legend, Michal Menert, who rocked out a jaw-dropping set. Menert who’s usually with his band these days, The Pretty Fantastics, was solo and sensational. If you’re a fan, he played all the favorites while still finding a way to make it incredibly original and unique. We caught up with Michal backstage, and while there’s no news to share in particular, it’s worth reporting the kind-nature, generosity, and genuine love for music that comes along with this artist.

As for MIDIcinal, he managed to keep the crowd and practically had to be peeled off stage. MIDIcinal has had a good year or two, rising quickly in the Denver area and beyond. He’s got a busy summer lined up himself, having just announced not only Colorado’s premier electronic music festival, Sonic Bloom 2019 but also Kosmic Kingdom Music Festival AND Electric Forest 2019! We see big things in store for this artist who hails from the Potent Production label. Though we haven't heard anything official yet, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a headline show announced from Rhatigan before the end of the season. We’ll keep you posted on that if anything develops.
