Meow Wolf Announces Collaborating Artists For Denver Exhibition - Get To Know Them Here!

With Meow Wolf opening their third highly-anticipated exhibit in Denver this fall, the Sante Fe-based arts and entertainment company has leisurely been releasing drips of detail on the massive space. Most recently, the 110 Colorado-based artists collaborating on the space have been announced, giving us Coloradans great reason to be even more proud. It goes without say that Denverites and visitors of all ages can expect to be transported into fantastic realms of story and exploration, so here’s a look into said artists, and exactly what to expect come Fall.

“Fasten your seatbelts, Meow Wolf Denver is our most ambitious project to date! With hundreds of creatives working on this massive endeavor, including overwhelming talent from local Denver-based artists, we can’t wait for guests to experience the magic confined within these uniquely shaped walls.” That’s what Ali Rubinstein said via a press release this week. The CCO and Co-CEO of Meow Wolf continued with, “Starting this fall, guests can explore four floors of exhibition space, with portals transporting them to worlds beyond their wildest imagination”.

It’s been said that Meow Wolf Denver is the most narratively complex installation to date. That narrative, you ask? You’re gonna have to wait for the next train to get that info, but for now we can tell you the variety of artists across multiple mediums are intended to immerse the imagination beyond any experiential art you may be familiar with. This diverse group of muralists, sculptors, fiber artists and technologists came together to form an innovative unity, with 51% identifying as female, 20% identifying as LGBQT+, and 38% of the Artist collaborators are People of Color (based on optional survey answers).

We already know that Meow Wolf Denver will span four floors with seemingly endless installations of interactive art and experiences. We can also look forward to food and beverage services, retail space, and the 488 person capacity venue for all the entertainment lovers! More than 300 developers are working hard to bring Meow Wolf to life this fall. This week we can happily tell you that over 110 of them are Colorado artists, so we thought we’d help you get to know some of those names while we all patiently await the fall-opening.

Meow Wolf Denver celebrates both established and emerging artists of Colorado, each expressing their individuality through artistic stories. Prepare for the works of Kayln Heffernan and collaborator Gregg Ziemba with their piece, “Wheelchair Space Kitchen”; Cal Duran and David Ocelotl Garcia with, “Earth Spirits of the Subconscious Mind”; Molina Speaks with her, “Indigenous Futurist Dreamscape Lounge”; Mongolian collaborators Eriko Tsogo, Jennifer Tsogo, Tsogo Mijid, and Batochir Batkhishig on their work, Mongovoo Temple”; and the “Aquakota” nightclub, conceptualized by the late artist Colin Richard Ferguson Ward and completed by his collaborators Peniel Apantenco and Kim Shively in his memory. It might be safe to say that even the titles of the work light up a spark in our adventurous, Colorado souls.
