That’s a wrap folks! Dozier’s headline show at Your Mom’s House was a full-on throw-down, to say the least. One of the largest crowds I’ve seen at YMH congregated on Saturday night and they were reveling in the music during every set. There was a high volume of energy, paired with anticipation. As the clock struck each progressing hour, people continued to flurry throughout the venue. The thick turnout gave rise to lots of dancing; despite a full room, there was plenty of space for hips to sway.

Spirah caught our attention with her sonorous vocals during the first set of the evening. She demonstrated all of the hard work put in over the past few months; performing songs from her first-ever EP entitled The Medium, that was released Monday. Maddneto packed a littler harder of a punch as she took the stage and threw some “bass in yo face”. She came prepared to deliver her heaviest live performance yet and wow the crowd. If you missed her set or just want to listen again at your leisure, check it out on her Soundcloud. Lemondoza came forth to bring a sharp zing to the stage with her authentic style and sample manipulations. She is adept at creating unique sounds and making her music as authentic as possible.

Dozier was born a performer. Her aggressive hair flips and head-bangs are really a sight to see. As soon as she comes onstage she’s radiating confidence and vitality. Once she gets going, nothing stands in her way. Her set was chock-full of deep bass drops and infectious rhythms that epitomize badass women in the electronic scene. She is humble in conversation and a raging beast once she gets behind her decks. Dozier, AKA Alex Rowan, has worked so hard in the past year, proving that with hard work and a little blood, sweat, and tears, you can make your dreams come true. Headlining a show is now a box she can check off on her long list of accomplishments and she can begin focusing on bigger goals to look forward to. Rowan is soon moving out to Los Angelas to do exactly that. Denver will miss her dearly, until she one day (hopefully) returns.

NotLö stepped up next, ready to show everyone what she’s made of. A tough ask, to follow such a powerful headline performance. Her music is bass oriented, but it is clear that she takes inspiration from a variety of music and that is reflected in her overall style. She kept the crowd elevated and she was very successful at being in tune with her audience, feeding off of them and vice versa. Notlo’s goal is to be an artist that is available to the masses and she is well on her way. Mermix came on to close out the night, transcending the crowd through her eclectic sounds and visuals. Although she incorporates bass, her music is light and chill; clearly drawing from the sounds of ocean cascades and the formidable life deep below the earth's surface.
