If you weren’t able to make it out to the show at Jackson’s, downtown Denver, last night… you missed out. Potent Productions gathered an incredible set of artists who played back to back all night long. Halfway to Mars kicked off the night with a bang, playing new mixes in preparation for his new album which will be released in June. This was his first show after spending the last year busily creating music, which is now ready to be exhibited to the masses. ELCTRX followed with gritty, glitchy tunes that had people moving to eclectic rhythms. His music was the perfect mash-up to the mesmerizing visuals, incorporating some really contagious bass drops. As the night progressed, more and more people filled out the space while the energy simultaneously radiated across Jackson’s Rooftop.

Crystal Skies headed the second half of performances and created a wave of movement due to fast-paced provocative sounds that elicited an emotional response. With such a unique style and incorporation of voice-overs, the music seemed to resonate individually with listeners. The final performance was by PLS&TY, who kept up the liveliness with dance-driven beats and vocals. His songs spread good vibes with a poppy vitality and persistent originality. Headlining the show just before he heads off to EDC in Las Vegas, “Please and Thank You” was a treat for everyone who came out for the first in a series of events.
The rooftop accommodated a stage that included nearly fifty high-definition screens, bringing otherworldly and psychedelic visuals to pair with the music. Watching the performances, one could easily get sucked into the menagerie of sound and images. Bodies were dancing and swaying in a beautiful trance state all around the stage. The sound system was powerful but the outdoor venue carried the music so it didn’t feel all-consuming. The atmosphere allowed people to converse without yelling in each other's ear and the small setting gave way to a social sprawl.
